Camille Burns

Chief Executive Officer

Chief Executive Officer of the Women Presidents Organization, Camille Burns champions the WPO’s mission to help second-stage women entrepreneurs around the world take their companies to the next level of success. The organization’s unique approach to advanced business education rooted in a proprietary peer learning methodology has helped founders on six continents scale their companies for growth.

A member of New York and International Women’s Forum and Golden Seeds, Camille’s expert commentary has most recently been included in Fast Company, Forbes, Medium, and Thrive Global.

An ardent supporter of women’s economic development via entrepreneurship, Camille has shared her expertise at many prestigious events, both as a moderator and panelist. Panels have included the State of Women-Owned Business at the American Express Summit for Success, Strategies to Manage Fast Growth Companies for Enterprising Women Magazine, the Crowdfunding Road Map to Survive and Thrive Summit, sponsored by Microsoft, and Women Elevating Women Five Pillars of Success Business Conference. She also moderated Being a Leader in an Organization That Advances Racial Equity, a fireside chat with Salene Hitchcock-Gear, President of Prudential Individual Life Insurance and co-leader of its racial equity initiative.

In 2022, Camille was the recipient of the Women Elevating Women Annual Award and was named an inductee to the Enterprising Women Hall of Fame. Since joining WPO in 2000, she has worked to steer the organization’s significant growth trajectory and expand its international footprint. Owing to the length of her WPO tenure, Camille brings a unique perspective to her role as CEO.

She is an advisory council member for Enterprising Women Magazine, sits on the Steering Committee of the International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge (IWEC), and is on the Board of Directors for Go for the Greens — a women entrepreneurs’ business development conference.

Camille is a graduate of New York University with a BA in sociology and an MBA from Baruch College (CUNY), Zicklin School of Business.

Sara Charbonnet

Chief Operating Officer

Sara Charbonnet is the Chief Operating Officer, overseeing HR, organizational operations and special projects. Sara began her career at the WPO supporting Chapter Chairs, planning Platinum group meetings, and assisting with logistics for the annual conference. After gaining her event planning foundation, Sara went on to work in the catering industry for six years, producing high profile events at Sotheby’s and the International Culinary Center. She is thrilled to be back at WPO, supporting women entrepreneurs.

Kirsten Wynn

Chief Innovation and Programming Officer

Kirsten Wynn is the Chief Innovation & Programming Officer, overseeing all programming and events, partnerships and communications. Having joined WPO in 2008 as a communications intern, she went on to become Director of Communications. In 2012, Kirsten was named Director of Programs and International Initiatives, overseeing all of the WPO Platinum Chapters, as well as special programs, including the 50 Fastest Growing Women-Owned/Led Companies and the Women of Color Achievement Awards with 100 Black Men of America. In 2016 Kirsten became Director of Marketing, managing member recruitment and special programs.

Prior to working at the WPO, Kirsten attended Western University in her native Canada, where she received her degree in Psychology and Sociology of Work, with a minor in Art History. She obtained her graduate degree in Public Relations at the University of Western Ontario in Canada.

While her work requires regular travel, as a natural Torontonian, Kirsten can frequently be found in her home country of Canada. Prior to moving to New York, Kirsten traveled extensively as a badminton player, showcasing her skills on an international level.

Megan McDonough

Global Director of Growth

As the Global Director of Growth, Megan McDonough focuses on connections that help women entrepreneurs—and the organizations they run—thrive. She’s an expert in creating, growing, and launching new business initiatives, leading with divergent thinking and creative perspectives to build organizations and networks that harness the best in people for the greatest good.

She has decades of leadership experience in diverse settings, in roles ranging from Alliance Manager of a $300 million relationship at DuPont; to General Manager of RISE at Kripalu, the largest yoga retreat center in North America; to numerous online-learning startups. She founded Wholebeing Institute, a worldwide educational organization with thousands of students from 48 countries and from every State in the US.

A yoga enthusiast, Megan has practiced for more than 20 years and taught for more than a decade, and brings that mindfulness practice to her leadership. Her degree in biology, natural science, and nuclear medicine has little to do with her current work, and everything to do with her radically receptive approach to life.

She is the award-winning author of four books on living mindfully.

Megan is a connector at heart—bringing together people, services, and ideas to help individuals and organizations grow.

Judy Waak-Pearce

Director of Customer Engagement

Judy Waak-Pearce is the Director of Customer Engagement. Judy previously served as WPO's Program Manager, where she oversaw events, programs for the Platinum and Zenith groups, and the Entrepreneurial Excellence Forum. Prior to joining WPO, Judy spent 10 years as Director of Programs for C200 working on events and the Annual Conference. She obtained her AA in Business Administration with a Marketing concentration from Indiana Institute of Technology. She is thrilled to be working at WPO and with women entrepreneurs.

Tomi Jane DeTorres

Chapter Chair Manager

Tomi Jane is the Chapter Chair Manager, supporting all of the WPO Chapter Chairs around the world. Tomi Jane manages Chapter Chair onboarding, training and logistics, and is the point person for Chapter Chair operations. Tomi Jane joined WPO in 2016 as the Manager of Membership Services, handling membership and chapter processes.

Tomi Jane graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor of arts in International Affairs and a concentration in International Relations. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Tomi Jane interned for About Giving as a technical writing and research intern, volunteered for the Mahatma Gandhi Center for Global Nonviolence, and worked as a First-Year Orientation Guide. Since graduating, she has gained valuable experience in administrative work while working with the financial advisors Rivera & Associates, and insights into non-profit communications and marketing while interning for Action Against Hunger. Tomi Jane is energized by WPO’s mission to progress the economic independence of women, and excited to be a part of that process.

Melissa Horne

Bookkeeper

Melissa has worked in both Corporate and Not-for-profit accounting for over 20+ years. She holds a BA in Finance and is currently enrolled to become a Certified Human Resource Officer. Melissa is also active in her community, serving in food banks, & other not-for-profit organizations.

Jennette Roth

Event Manager

Jennette Roth is the Event Manager at the Women Presidents Organization. She is a seasoned professional responsible for the meticulous planning and execution of events and programs including the Platinum & Zenith Meetings and the Entrepreneurial Excellence Forum. She leverages her experience and expertise to ensure every event, whether in-person or virtual, surpasses expectations.

With a background encompassing roles at renowned organizations like Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase, and Bath & Body Works, Jennette excels as a strategic partner. She's known for her clear communication, fostering inclusive spaces, and driving innovation. Whether it's streamlining event programs, managing budgets, or handling logistics, Jennette consistently delivers exceptional results, often saving costs, boosting efficiency, and upping engagement levels.

A graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Baldwin Wallace University, Jennette currently calls Columbus, OH home, where she resides with her husband and two dogs, Rory and Charlotte. She is immensely enthusiastic about her role at WPO, relishing the opportunity to support women entrepreneurs daily.

Carly Ward

Membership Coordinator

Carly Ward is the Membership Coordinator of the Women Presidents Organization serving as the liaison between the organization and its members. Responsible for all aspects of membership, from serving as the first point of contact for membership-related questions to supporting new members, Carly is excited to meet and assist women entrepreneurs as they find support, empowerment, and inspiration through membership in the WPO.

Carly graduated from Emmanuel College, Boston, MA with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a concentration in Diplomacy and Security and a minor in Political Science. Following her passion for public service, Carly went on to earn her Master of Public Administration (MPA) with concentrations in Nonprofit Management and Policy Analysis/Program Development from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT.

Carly also finds joy in the study of world languages earning a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Certification from The University of Utah and enjoys professional working proficiency in French and elementary proficiency in Spanish and Arabic.

While earning her MPA, Carly worked for the International Admissions Department at the University of Utah as the Supervisor/Program Coordinator of Utah Global where she was responsible for implementing and managing the University partnership program, conducting research on higher education and immigration policy, managing F1 visa-related immigration topics, and the issuance of I-20s to newly admitted international students.

Carly is a passionate advocate for workforce development, volunteering her time as a mentor for high school students, assisting them in developing the personal, workplace and technical skills necessary to enter the workforce as leaders and responsible citizens.

In her leisure time, Carly enjoys skiing, hiking, and sailing the waters off Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, Massachusetts where she was born and raised.

Giana Dominguez

Communications Coordinator

Giana Dominguez is the Communications Coordinator at WPO, managing email communications to members, WPO’s website, social media, and public relations, in addition to assisting with the production of WPO webinars. She obtained her BA in Interdisciplinary Sciences, Teaching and Learning from the University of West Florida and started her career as an Exceptional Student Education Teacher. She served K-12 students with special needs in the Central Florida area.

Upon relocating to NYC in 2018, Giana made the transition to the nonprofit sector. She was previously a Development Assistant at Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation (DRCRF) and most recently supported post-9/11 service members and military spouses as an Operations Associate at American Corporate Partners (ACP), a non-profit focused on helping returning veterans and active duty spouses find their subsequent careers through one-on-one mentoring, networking, and online career advice from corporate mentors.

During her time at ACP, she supported over 200+ mentorships and worked with Mentors from 115+ Fortune 500 companies, such as Bank of America, Bloomberg, BlackRock, The Coca-Cola Company, Disney, Morgan Stanley, and UBS. She played a key role in managing ACP AdvisorNet, ACP’s sister website, oversaw various communal email accounts, conducted grant and prospect research, and developed written content for external donor communications, internal communications, and other online channels to provide consistent messaging to the program participants and donor base.

In her free time, Giana enjoys gallivanting around the NYC area visiting cultural institutions (The Met, MoMA, American Museum of Natural History), attending plays and live music events, and indulging her inner foodie at well-known dining destinations around the five boroughs. Giana is passionate about various causes and regularly provides volunteer support for other organizations. She is thrilled to be working with the WPO team and looks forward to providing support for the organization and its members.
